Selluxe Dashboard – Privacy Policy

Selluxe Dashboard (“the App”) provides analytics, store enhancement tools, and dynamic section management (“the Service”) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores.
This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.


1. Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account via the Shopify API, including:

Store information: store name, store URL, contact email, and Shopify domain.

Plan details: your current Shopify plan type (e.g. Basic, Advanced, Plus).

Theme data: published theme ID, theme name, and theme files related to section installation.

Orders (read-only): basic order statistics (order count, total sales, conversion rate) for dashboard analytics.

Products (read-only): product titles, handles, images, and pricing information used to generate dynamic previews and upsells.

ScriptTags & Assets: permission to add or update app-related sections and scripts for rendering functionality.

Additional Information Collected Independently from Shopify APIs

In addition to the Shopify API data, we may collect the following information directly from you or your team:

Merchant contact information: your name, company name, billing address, phone number, and email address.

Team access data: information about users who log in to the Selluxe Dashboard (e.g., email address, role, and login timestamp).

Payment details: if you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing and payment information via Shopify Billing API (we do not store credit card data ourselves).

Usage information: logs of how you interact with the dashboard, including pages visited, clicks, and feature usage metrics.

Store visitor data (if enabled): anonymized IP address, browser type, country, device type, and timestamp used for performance tracking.

We collect this data directly through your Shopify account, via app login, or using tracking technologies such as:

Cookies: small data files placed on your device to enable persistent login and analytics. You can disable cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org.

Log files: automatically record actions within the app (e.g. IP address, browser type, and timestamps).

Web beacons / tags / pixels: small electronic files used to track engagement and app usage performance.


2. How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the collected information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.

Authenticate users and manage app access.

Display analytics, conversion data, and performance insights on your dashboard.

Communicate with you about updates, billing, and support.

Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.

Improve our products and develop new features.

Send relevant marketing or educational content (only if you have opted in).

We do not sell or rent your personal data under any circumstances.


3. Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with trusted third parties to help us provide the Service:

Shopify Inc. – to integrate and synchronize store data.

Google Cloud / Firebase – for secure data storage and authentication.

Postmark / SendGrid – for sending transactional emails and notifications.

Stripe / Shopify Billing API – for secure subscription billing and payments.

Analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) – for aggregated, anonymized usage tracking.

These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are only permitted to process data on our behalf in compliance with this Privacy Policy.

We may also share Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to lawful requests (e.g. subpoenas or warrants), or to protect our legal rights.


4. Behavioural Advertising (if applicable)

We may use your information to show relevant educational or promotional messages about Selluxe on social media platforms.

5. Your Rights (EU/EEA & UK Residents)

We process your information to fulfill contractual obligations (e.g., to provide the Service to your Shopify store) and pursue our legitimate business interests (e.g., improving the App).
Please note that your data may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States, where data protection laws may differ.


6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your Shopify store has the App installed and for up to 90 days after uninstallation to allow reactivation and support inquiries.
After that, all personally identifiable data is securely deleted or anonymized unless required by law.


7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
The latest version will always be available within the App and at https://selluxewebsites.com/privacy.
